We went to Scanfest 2016 with our friend Bruce and this time took the Longship Company's faering the Gyrfalcon.

We have also bought a Viking Tent! Isn't it beautiful? The tent is available for all future demos at no extra cost!

The Skogar Þrostur is undergoing a facelift. Stay tuned for pictures of the colorful results!

Nice tent! Have you stayed in it yet?

I currently have Finnr's tent in our garage - it was being 'stored' outside in the weather in Richmond so it got transferred to my custody. All these years and I still haven't sewn a new canvas for it with doors. But I'm not reenacting anymore so I guess that doesn't matter. I should see if Cyn and Thomas want it back, I guess.

We haven't slept in the tent yet, and with a small RV we probably won't. But it's great for storing all the modern stuff out of the way and if we have a good set-up we might open the doors for folks to look. This time we had obnoxious pink rope and plastic totes! I'm hoping next year we'll have proper ropes and more authentic contents.
